  • May Leong

    FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

    Hailing from Malaysia, May has worked in the arts, creative and entertainment industries throughout APAC across multiple capacities for 18 years. 

    She began her career at one of the world’s leading performing arts, festival and events management agencies, IMG Artists, touring artists and attractions throughout Asia with the likes of the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Soloists, Tango Fire and Soweto Gospel Choir, as well as working on award-winning lifestyle and multi-disciplinary events such as the Singapore Sun Festival. She was also one of the founding members of Neon Lights Festival, Singapore’s premier outdoor music and arts festival, building partnerships and programming for the Festival between 2015- 2019. Other notable festival partnership consultancy experiences include stints with Magnetic Asia Hong Kong, creators of celebrated music, people and arts festival Clockenflap and Ticketflap Asia, as well as the inaugural live ASEAN Music Festival 2022 in Singapore.

    Adept at working across the private, public and non-profit sectors, May has experience in grant administration and cultural policy from working with the National Arts Council Singapore, and managing visual and performing arts projects for non-profits such as the Singapore Tyler Print Institute (S.E.A. Focus 2022-2024), NTU Centre for the Contemporary Arts, Art Outreach and Dance Nucleus.  

    May holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Politics and Psychology from the University of Melbourne and a Master in Public Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. She continues to explore the interaction between the arts, culture, society and economy. She was invited to guest lecture for Singapore Management University’s Arts and Cultural Management Programme in September 2021 and contribute to Asialink's 'Singapore Arts Now Insider Perspective' workshop as well as the National Arts Council's ‘Singapore Arts Plan 2.0’ (2023-27) focus group discussions in June 2022. 

    With a love for salsa dancing and Latin music, May created the popular Latin dance parties ‘Salsa Under the Stars SG’ and ‘Salsa y Comida’. Her other interests include global politics, history, live music, contemporary art and gender issues.

  • Muhammad Ibrahim

    PROJECT / PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE

    Based in Singapore, Ibrahim has experience working in across industries such as retail, social services, and events management.

    He started his career in events interning with creative collective Hyphen BB on The Non Season, a multi-disciplinary art, music and creative intervention at Design Orchard supported by the Singapore Tourism Board and National Arts Council in early 2022.

    He has since also supported FOH, production and project management on other large-scale festivals and events such as the ASEAN Music Showcase Festival (2022), Salsa y Comida (ongoing), Music Day Out (2022), and most recently, NTU CCA’s IdeasFest FOOD (2023).

    He has also worked on projects for social good such as ‘Project CONSOUL: Conversations with a Counsellor’ and ‘KUUKIDO!’, an advocacy programme that aimed to raise awareness about workplace accessibility through a LEGO Workplace Model.

    Ibrahim is set to graduate from Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a Diploma in Community Development in 2024, and is interested in projects involving culture, music, film and social issues.
